The staff were exceptional. They helped us arrange celebrations for a friends' 50th birthday. They went over and above in their hospitality. They arranged an upgrade for the birthday girl - complete with flower arrangements. One lovely lady even staying back after her shift finished to help us. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms were traditional in style and kept beautifully clean. It was great value for money. We all loved our stay at Sungu Resort

The whole stay was amazing . The staff is incredibly professional and welcoming. Special mention to Mr sudi . He helped us a lot with the organization of the trips . The private pool was awesome 🤩we really enjoyed it. The room cleaning service was good also. Ubud centre is only 15 min from the hotel on feet or 5 min with car and the hotel offers free shuttle to the center . The hotel offered a pick up from and to the airport for a reasonable price. We thank you for your hospitality.

The bed is very comfortable and the swimming pool area is very nice. Breakfast is very delicious with many options. Taking a shower in the bathroom with no roof is particularly refreshing. Everything was very clean, and water bottles were provided daily.

nice vegetation, quiet place, big, clean private pool, huge bathroom with big open space shower (that looks like a garden), nice birds and squirls great full breakfast

Very helpful and friendly staff. Close proximity to Alchemy if you’re into yoga, breathwork classes, sound healing etc. Ubud centre is less than 10 minutes drive and the free resort shuttle service available.

Everything was perfect. The villa was homely, and felt like you were way out of town, no traffic noise, total seclusion. The beds were comfortable with nice linen, the staff were laid back and helpful, no complaints with the food either, the included breakfast had plenty of options, and room service was a good price and quality. It is a 15-20 minute lazy walk to Ubud Palace, and the main shopping area, or you can use the free driver from the hotel. The only thing I would do differently next time is not to pre book the tours on Get your guide, and talk to the staff there to arrange drivers etc. See you next Christmas, we can hardly wait, and Thank you for looking after us

Villa was rustic but beautiful, very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The included breakfast was really nice. Whilst the walk to Ubud centre was a little daunting (skinny road, up/downhill), the Resort offered shuttles into Town. The area itself is within easy walk of nearby cafes and restaurants. The staff were very helpful with recommendations on activities!

The resort is amazing with nature all around you. The location is great and is near to Ubud Center and they offer a free bus shuttle. The staff was very helpful, friendly and responsive. The pools are very nice, the whole resort is very cozy and relaxing. I'll definitely recommend this place! We loved our stay there.

Sungu Resort and Spa is in the perfect location to take advantage of at least 3 stunning Yoga Studios (Alchemy, Intuitive Flow and Nalanda). There were numerous cafe's and wurangs near by as well including vegan options. We had a nice room in traditional decor and an open air bathroom room (was awesome to shower in the rain!). Included breakfast was generous and there were a few choices though I choose a Nasi Goreng most mornings. The pool area is great and all of the staff were very friendly. A special shout out to Dewi for making us feel so welcome. The resort is an easy walk to the palace (once you get used to the traffic) and make sure you check out some of the little pathways as they lead to not only some of the yoga studios but some cute cafes as well.

So wonderful to return to the Sungu Resort and Spa after 10 years. Still as beautiful as it was before. It feels like you are staying with Family Amazing staff, beautiful gardens, incredible private villa in a traditional Balinese style compound gardens. Great location for walks and Ubud vegan/ yoga/ spa experiences
